Worked on a vegetation management project for Southern California Edison (US) transmission corridors using GIS and LiDAR data
Processed and analyzed LiDAR datasets to identify tree locations, vegetation density, and clearance areas near power lines and transmission towers
Created and updated GIS layers for trees, vegetation risk zones, and utility right-of-way (ROW) areas
Performed QA/QC, data validation, and mapping to support vegetation trimming and powerline safety assessments
Assisted in generating accurate 3D maps and reports for field teams to prioritize vegetation maintenance activities

Developed an automated oil spill detection pipeline using Very High Resolution SAR data (Capella, Umbra, ICEYE), cutting processing and delivery time from 1 hour to 1 minute
Designed automated pipelines for flood detection, soil moisture estimation (X/C/L-band SAR), blank spot detection, and path detection in plantation areas
Performed DInSAR surface deformation analysis, optical-SAR data co-registration, radar-backscatter change detection (deforestation, river ice, wildfires), vessel detection, and methane extraction from Sentinel-5 data

Identified dam subsidence using SBAS InSAR on SAR SLC data within a Python/Jupyter workflow, reducing computation time from weeks to days
Conducted flood mapping and analysis using multi-sensor SAR and optical datasets (RCM 3, TerraSAR, COSMO-SkyMed, Gaofen-3, ALOS-PALSAR-2, Worldview, GeoEye, KOMPSAT), producing FCC images and 3D animations
Generated DEMs via InSAR and CartoSAT-3 photogrammetry for landslide volume estimation; carried out flood modeling (MIKE, HEC-RAS) and flood risk/hazard assessment
Built an HTML/JavaScript/CSS swipe tool for shareable map comparisons

Performed decadal LULC change detection and landscape analysis (FRAGSTATS, MSPA) in QGIS, including raster/vector processing and classification
Conducted Species Distribution Modeling for invasive alien plant species and mapped Chromolaena odorata using WorldView-2 data via pixel-based, object-based, and machine learning (Random Forest) methods
Calculated Transform Divergence Index to improve classification accuracy, mapped burnt areas and fire hotspot trends, and analyzed NDVI-based phenology metrics
Led field biodiversity surveys across multiple forest plots and mapped alpha diversity at the community level
